Hello...
#GRILLITUP… Summer’s in full swing. Just walk outside in the 90 degree heat and that will be instantly obvious. And, summer means grilling. Sure, here in sunny FL we can grill it up year round. But, there is something about summer that screams GRILL IT! I thought I knew all of the grilling tricks. Wrong. There are a ton of fantastic new cookbooks out this year to help you perform some real BBQ magic. Master of the Grill tops the list. So many innovative, creative and best of all TESTED techniques, methods and recipes. I highly recommend checking it out before you take a match to your next pile of charcoal. If you have zero interest in conducting your own BBQ experiments. We can help. Or, I should say EDIBLE SARASOTA MAGAZINE and THE SHAMROCK can help. Their Summer Chef Jam is in full swing. They do all of the grilling for you! Here’s a link for the summer lineup and to buy a ticket. Moral of the story. Whether you’re creating your own barbeque feast or just enjoying the fruits of someone else’s labors, the time is now to get grillin'... KEEP EATING, Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week rolls into its second week. How are you doing on your checklist? If you still have checked off any boxes, there’s still a little time. Get out there and eat!... DAD’S DAY, Looking for a way to treat your dad to something a little special, but, still casual? Brew Thru SRQ has a Father’s Day brunch and brew tour. Tickets HERE. Or, Polo Grill, 2X Lobsters 2X Beer. 2 1lb Maine lobsters and 2 draft beers. That’s going to put a smile on any dads face… SUSHI ON, Normally I’m not a huge fan of “all you can eat” anything. But, sushi that’s quite another story. AND, PAINTER'S PALATE sushi at that. For $20 you can eat sushi until you say uncle. They have a special sushi menu every Thursday in June. Check it out!

...The Exit
INS & OUTS… Ah, what’s happened since we last got together?? Some stuff, that’s for sure. 2 out, 1 in. This month we sadly removed Rev-el-ry on University and Roast. That was a tough one. I just LOVED sitting upstairs there. The downtown dining scene will miss that place for sure. On a brighter note. We’ve added officially added Darwin Santa Maria’s latest venture, CEVI CHELA LATIN STREET FOOD located on Siesta Key. That brings the database total to 346.
