#QUITETIME… Yes, it is. What does that mean for our Sarasota restaurants? You’ve got two things at play here. First, it’s the best time to open a new restaurant in Sarasota. Why? I think that’s pretty obvious. You get just a ton of ramp up time before things get out of control here (FEB-APR). Second, if you’re already up and running, it is the perfect time to fine tune your operation, test out new menu items and make any staff changes that will let you kill it during season. It’s going to get busy here, we all know that. The space between now and the Thanksgiving holiday is made for going through your checklist and getting things right. If you’re in the restaurant biz the clock is ticking. If you’re in the eating biz, get ready for some new things to enjoy from your favorite places AND remember to check out a few new places that someday might be old favs… OCTOBERFEST, Looking for a reason to drink some beer this October? MR BEERY’S can take care of that. OCT 1ST @ 4PM they are hosting their take on the German drinking tradition. $35 gets you a nifty glass beer stein (yours to keep) filled with a great Octoberfest beer of your choosing. And, a plate of genuine German food from GEIER'S SAUSAGE KITCHEN. Lots of fun is on tap including a stein hoisting contest! HERE’S MORE INFO & TICKETS... WINE ON, Here’s a super casual way to check out some great wines. The monthly open house wine tasting at MICHAEL’S WINE CELLAR. SAT. OCT 1ST 2PM-4PM, $10PP. There will be lots and lots to sample. A great way to spend part of your Saturday afternoon… BOOK IT, We’re hard at work putting the finishing touches on our 2017 Sarasota dining book. 2016 was a great edition, but, next years book is shaping up to be something REALLY special. Keep an eye out for on sale dates. It should be available just in time for holiday gift giving!
